Hailing from the Lower Mainland, Sam joins the Harrison Beach Hotel with over a decade of experience in the luxury travel and hospitality sector. His impressive career includes more than seven years in senior leadership positions with world-class cruise lines such as Princess Cruises and Celebrity Cruises, where he oversaw hotel operations, service excellence, and revenue performance across premium travel programs.

Most recently, Sam led a successful independent travel consultancy, curating bespoke itineraries for discerning travelers around the globe. His entrepreneurial approach, paired with a deep understanding of hospitality operations, human resources, and strategic planning, makes him a dynamic addition to the True Key leadership team.

On October 20, 2025, officially opened , Vancouver’s only hotel in Chinatown -  a design-led apart-hotel blending boutique comfort, local connection, and smart technology for today’s longer-stay traveller.

 

Located where Chinatown, Gastown, and the Arena District meet, offers apartment-style suites with full kitchens, in-suite laundry, and custom Canadian art. Guests enjoy keyless entry, curated local guides, and wellness-focused amenities from Vancouver brand TALLU.

ARLINGTON, Va. 22 October 2025 – At the end of the third quarter, Europe was the only world region to show an increase in hotel construction and overall pipeline activity, according to CoStar’s September 2025 pipeline data. CoStar is a leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics in the property markets.

Europe

  • In construction: 171,589 rooms (+5.2%)
  • Final Planning: 71,502 rooms (-18.5%)
  • Planning: 185,254 rooms (+14.2%)
  • Total Under Contract: 428,345 (+3.7%)

The United Kingdom leads Europe in total rooms in construction (24,540), closely followed by Germany (22,622).

Asia Pacific

  • In construction: 492,663 rooms (-3.2%)
  • Final Planning: 42,911 rooms (-22.6%)
  • Planning: 415,446 rooms (+6.6%)
  • Total Under Contract: 951,020 (-0.3%)

Among countries in the region, China (280,577) leads in construction activity, followed by India (41,711) and Vietnam (39,078).

Middle East & Africa

  • In construction: 99,895 rooms (-9.4%)
  • Final Planning: 19,396 rooms (-37.3%)
  • Planning: 94,485 rooms (+10.9%)
  • Total Under Contract: 213,776 (-5.6%)

Most of the region’s pipeline activity is focused in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia (44,771) and the United Arab Emirates (14,685) have the most rooms in construction.

Americas

  • In construction: 190,842 rooms (-8.8%)
  • Final Planning: 292,538 rooms (-4.1%)
  • Planning:390,345 rooms (+0.8%)
  • Total Under Contract: 873,725 (-3.1%)

The U.S. (138,922) holds the majority of rooms in construction in the region. After the U.S., Mexico (14,290), Canada (8,988) and Brazil (5,481) show the highest number of rooms in construction.

Vancouver, B.C. – October 21, 2025 – This winter, invites guests to once again turn down the noise and turn up the energy with the return of its well-loved silent disco series – – a relaxed, indoor reimagining of the hotel’s sold out summer event, now taking place at .

Launching Friday, November 14, 2025, ARC After Dark transforms the stylish heart of Fairmont Waterfront into an immersive night of music, flavour, and joyful connection.

Attendees will don wireless headphones and tune into three DJ-curated channels, each spinning a different genre – from disco classics to modern hits – all mixed live from local legend DJ Remsta.

In a new twist for the season, guests are invited to begin the evening with a coastal-inspired three-course meal from ARC’s signature menu, carefully curated by Executive Chef Harris Sakalis. From ocean-fresh seafood to farm-to-fork creations, each dish reflects the flavours and spirit of the West Coast, celebrating locally sourced ingredients from across British Columbia.

The series launches with two confirmed dates this winter: Friday, November 14, 2025 and Friday, January, 23, 2026. Additional dates are expected to be announced in the new year.

All events are open to hotel guests, local residents, and visitors seeking a fun and truly memorable experience.
