FORT MCMURRAY – 30, November, 2017  Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites was pleased to be represented at the recent Best Western Hotels & Resorts' 2017 North American Convention.  The annual event took the Fort McMurray hotel all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, along with approximately 2,500 of its Best Western peers.  This year's convention was a standout event as the hotel saw its hard work rewarded with three impressive awards.

The first award, The M.K. Guertin Award, is the brands most prestigious award.  Hotels that receive this award are considered to best represent the vision of Best Western's founder and demonstrate exceptional levels of quality, guest satisfaction and dedication to the brand.  The Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites is one of only 41 hotels out of more than 2,100 properties in North America to receive this award.

"Named after our founder, this is our brand's most esteemed honor - recognizing hotels that consistently demonstrate superior levels of service to our guests," said Terrance Bichsel, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Best Western Hotels & Resorts.  "It's a privilege to award the Best Western Sawridge Plus Suites for their commitment to excellence and being a leader within our brand."

The second award, The Best Western Champion Design Award, recognizes that a property's design and aesthetic is deemed to be most impressive by an independent panel of design professionals.  The hotels must also be in the top 40 percentile for quality assurance and meet various membership requirements to qualify."

"The Champion Design Award honors our top Best Western properties that provide an attractive and exceptionally well designed hotel product to our guests," said Terrance Bichel "With its contemporary amenities and thoughtful layout, the Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites is an outstanding example of our brand's commitment to design excellence."

The final award, The Heroic Hospitality Stars Award, recognizes and celebrates individuals who provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate superior professionalism in their everyday line of work.  Winners must also be associated with the top performing hotels within the brand.  Paul Jones General Manager of best Western Plus Sawridge Suites received the Voting Member of the Year, out of the brand's more than 2,100 properties in North America.

"Our Heroic Hospitality Stars Award winners are remarkable individuals within the Best Western family who are committed to creating memorable experiences and delivering exceptional service,"  said Terrance Bichsel "I am pleased to honour Paul Jones as Voting Member of the Year, an outstanding employee whose dedication is an example to all."

Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites is honoured to be the recipient of such high acclamations.  These accomplishments wouldn't be possible without the hard work and commitment of its entire team.  The hotel would also like to extend a huge thanks to all of their loyal patrons without whom the hotel would not be the success it is.  Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites is committed to maintaining this high level of quality and service, and will continue to uphold the integrity of the Best Western brand.
